‘Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing’: Who Will Win It All in Season 3?

Who will be the last one standing? And who will be forced to tap out?

A new group of Naked and Afraid alums are about to embark on the show’s toughest challenge – an intense multi-phase contest that requires them to compete against some of the franchise’s most accomplished cast members. The Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing experience will be grueling, but the potential rewards are great. The person who makes it to the finish line first will go home with a perfect 10.0 Primitive Survival Rating and a $100,000 cash prize.

The first two seasons of Last One Standing featured brutal challenges, surprising twists, and some heartbreaking eliminations. Season 3 – which premieres May 18 — will likely deliver more of the same. But who will be crowned the winner when it’s all said and done? We’ll have to watch to find out, but we have some guesses about who might win it all in Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing Season 3.

‘Last One Standing’ Season 3 winner predictions

Screaming man in 'Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing' Season 3
Patrick French in ‘Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing’ Season 3 | Discovery Channel

So far, Discovery Channel has not revealed any specific details about this year’s competition, other than the location. Unlike past seasons, which took place in South Africa, this time, contestants will be headed to the unforgiving Australian Outback.

That setting might give some survivalists an edge. Ky Furneaux has survived 136 days on six previous Naked and Afraid challenges, including Last One Standing Season 2, where she advanced to the final stage of the competition before losing to Dan Link. In other words, she has plenty of experience, as well as one other advantage. This time, she’ll be on her home turf. Ky is from Victoria, Australia, and her knowledge of the local terrain could give her an edge over the other contestants.

But Ky will face stiff competition in her quest for the Last One Standing title. “Savage” Matt Wright is a Naked and Afraid legend who has survived 252 days in the wild on eight different challenges. He was a strong contender on Last One Standing Season 1 until a leg injury knocked him out of the game. Matt has an impressive N&A track record and will be tough to beat. However, as he knows from past experience, all it takes is one injury to force someone to head home early.

This season also features a few fan-favorite Naked and Afraid vets who are new to Last One Standing. Max Djenohan has survived 177 days over six challenges. That’s an impressive track record, especially considering his N&A journey began on a 14-day fan challenge. But will Max be able to adapt to the Last One Standing format? Other Naked and Afraid shows reward people who are able to work with their fellow survivalists. But on Last One Standing, people are forced to compete against each other, and not all cast members have adapted well to the change.

Laura Zerra may face the same challenge as Max in her Last One Standing debut. Her survival skills aren’t in doubt. She’s completed five previous challenges and survived 156 days. But does she have the strategic skills to best the show’s other survivalists in the show’s various elimination challenges?

Meanwhile, the rest of the Last One Standing Season 3 cast shouldn’t be counted out. Cheeny Plante competed in season 1 before tapping out in episode 7. She missed her family and was sick of the competition, she told Seacoastonline in a post-show interview. Now, she’a back for a shot ar redemption. Darrin Reay, Patrick French, and Trish Bulinsky are also previous LOS contestants vying for a second shot at the title.

So, who will win it all on this season of Last One Standing? Our bet is that either Ky or Matt will take home the grand prize – though anything can happen in a survival situation. We wouldn’t be stunned if a dark-horse contestant ended up being crowned the season 3 winner.

Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing Season 3 premieres Sunday, May 18 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Discovery Channel.
