SCOUTING for Girls frontman Roy Snide has taken a pop at himself performing in an old music video from 16 years ago.
The 44 year old sang along with his old self on Tik Tok, to the band’s hit single: “I skip a heartbeat.” while laughing at his mod-style hairdo
He said: “I don’t know what is worse, my haircut or the fact that this song was released 16 years ago.”

But fans insist that Roy, who looks very different from his chart topping days, is ageing very gracefully. One said: “Aged like a fine wine.”
Another said, “44 years old, you look early 30s.”

And another fan insists that a few years haven’t made a difference to the star’s appeal. She said: “Fancied him then, fancied him now.”
Scouting For Girls which includes as well as Roy on lead guitar and piano, Greg Churchhouse on bass guitar and Peter Ellard on drums, became one of the biggest bands of the noughties.
Their debut 2007 album with hits such as: “Elvis aint Dead” and “Heartbeat” sold over a million copies.
Since then the band have sold over 2 million records and received over 500 million streams having released six studio albums.
Now fans wishing to relieve their noughties nostalgia can go and see them live later this year, as they head out on a UK tour, from September 2024.
