CHANNEL 4 fans will be treated to “the most extreme survival show on TV” after securing the thrilling reality TV programme’s second series.
The broadcaster has revealed US show Alone, which has aired Stateside on History, will soon delight UK audiences.

It dubs the six-part programme as an “international survival hit” – with a whopping £100,000 for the winner from a selection of 10 contestants
Channel 4 teases the stars are “dropped into the Canadian wilderness, self-filming their battle against the elements to see who can last the longest, entirely alone.”
It adds: “Equipped with only a handful of basic tools, they must film their adventure themselves as they battle the elements, loneliness and wild animals including bears, moose, and wolverines, in a trial of skill, mental strength and resilience.

“Whoever lasts longest will win £100,000.”


Talking of the nail-biting new addition, Ian Katz of Channel 4 said: “This is a slate of programmes that shows Channel 4 is as disruptive, original and purposeful as it has ever been.”
The show is produced by The Garden.
Also added to the schedule include commissions such as Gender Wars; Secrets of the Female Orgasm; Andrew: The Problem Prince, A Paedophile In My Family: Surviving Dad, Untold – Series 2, Amputating Alice and Adam Hills: Grow Another Foot.
Channel 4’s new digital series Tapped Out will also feature.
