Morgan Evans’ dad said the country music star’s life was “destroyed” after his split from Kelsea Ballerini.
“Everything’s blowing up, destroyed in his life,” John Evans said of their divorce in the docuseries “Over For You,” which dropped on Morgan’s YouTube channel Tuesday.
“I think he needed to come home and feel like he’s a special person and everyone loves him,” John added.
The “Young Again” singer, 37 — whose marriage to Ballerini, 29, dissipated last year — filmed the series while touring in his native Australia in late 2022.
“I think it’s a reset for him to actually work out what’s important to him,” John said of his son’s time at home. “To just remember what he wants and what he values.”
Morgan’s mom, Sue, chimed in, saying, “At our place the other day there was like a reconnection with what’s important in life. It’s your family and those people who love you, regardless of who you are or how well you’re performing.”
The former couple finalized their divorce last November after she filed to end their nearly five-year marriage in August.

The “Heartfirst” singer has since confirmed her new romance with “Outer Banks” actor Chase Stokes and sat down for a bombshell-filled interview about her messy split from the Aussie musician.
Ballerini told “Call Her Daddy” host Alex Cooper that she was “livid” when Morgan released his song “Over for You,” in which he described feeling blindsided by her decision to end their marriage.
“As he’s putting out a song about being blindsided, he’s taking half the house that he didn’t pay for,” she said. “How was I married to this person for this long and had no idea that that bit of character was tucked within that human being?”
Ballerini also revealed that she made the first move with her new actor beau by sliding into his DMs in December 2022.
Meanwhile, Morgan reacted to his ex-wife’s podcast interview, and her new EP, “Rolling Up the Welcome Mat,” which was inspired by their separation.
“It’s really sad for me to see this person, who I spent so much of my life with, and loved with all my heart, saying things that aren’t reality and that leave out what really happened,” Evans wrote on Instagram.
Ballerini — who allegedly cheated on Evans with Chainsmoker singer Drew Taggart — has since unfollowed him on the platform.
