Mollie’s fiancé, England cricketer Stuart Broad, and their daughter Arabella, greeted an elated Mollie at the finish line.

In an exclusive chat with The Sun after crossing the finish line, Mollie, 36, said: “When they told me how much we’d raised, I never in my wildest dreams thought this was anything we could ever do.

“I am so grateful to anyone who has donated.”

Mollie finished up in Hull, the hometown of her late father Stephen, who passed away in November 2022 after a brain tumour diagnosis.

She has snaked from London through towns and villages in the midlands before travelling onto Manchester then across to Hull.

The Saturdays pop star was inspired by the thought of her dad along with the support from the public, who lined the roads to cheer her on.

Mollie, who pedalled up 4,000ft hills over the Pennines before reaching the final leg of the journey yesterday, said it had been a painful journey.

She added: “I’ve had moments where I’ve been crying on the bike because I have been in a lot of pain and I didn’t think I could do it.

“I have been training as hard as I can but I wasn’t sure it would actually get me here.

“My body has been telling me I couldn’t carry on but I was determined to do it.”

Speaking about the support from Stuart, 37, Mollie said: “He has been so supportive throughout the whole thing.

“He has been so amazing.

“I just couldn’t wait to see my family and to hug my little girl Annabella.

“I have missed her so, so much. She is my ray of sunshine.”

Mollie’s epic challenge has played out every day on Radio 1 and last night aired as part of Comic Relief’s coverage.

Her final total is expected to continue to rise over the coming days.
