Charlotte and Harry will, ultimately, be OK, insists Micheal Patrick King, teasing fans” do you think i’d kill Harry?”

Charlotte York and Harry Goldenblatt are primarily seen as the endgame couple of And Just Like That… The show’s writers, however, threw fans a curveball last week when Harry revealed to his devastated wife that he has cancer. Fans flooded social media, seeking justice for Harry. Many worried that Charlotte’s beloved second husband would be killed off thanks to the surprise diagnosis. After all, a secret funeral scene was filmed last summer. The series also dealt with a very big death in season 1. Fans needn’t worry, though. While Harry and Charlotte will face a medical crisis together, Michael Patrick King, the series’ showrunner, assured fans it will all turn out ok. The funeral scene remains a mystery.

Michael Patrick King subtly assures fans that Harry will be just fine

Harry Goldenblatt’s prostate cancer diagnosis is far from good news, but the storyline does give Harry and Charlotte a bit of non-traditional drama to deal with. While And Just Like That… fans think Charlotte and Harry do need a meatier storyline, the cancer storyline is giving Harry’s biggest supporters a lot of anxiety. Michael Patrick King insists it will.

Michael Patrick King and Kristin Davis sat down with The Wrap last week to discuss the diagnosis and where the writing team is hoping to take Charlotte and Harry. King insists the diagnosis does bring some complications into the marriage. Still, he made it clear that, healthwise, Harry would be fine. He told the publication, “Do you think I’m going to kill Harry?

So, who was the cast seen mourning?

Michael Patrick King’s assurance has brought calm to the fandom, but one central mystery remains unresolved. Last summer, a casting call seeking extras for a funeral scene in the show made the rounds online. Weeks later, the cast was spotted filming while dressed in all black, suggesting they had completed the funeral scene.

While Michael Patrick King is happy to offer assurance that Harry will be just fine, he isn’t giving away any more storyline information, nor is he revealing who the group has lost. Despite that, we have a couple of guesses regarding who died. Initially, the prevailing theory was that Herbert Wexley’s mother might have passed, but a better look at the casting call indicates a group of mourners were former girlfriends, making the Wexley family matriarch an unlikely victim. Several fans think Che Diaz may have been killed off. We have no concrete evidence that death is how the show will handle the hated character. Still, it is possible, and they certainly would have a line of romantic interests lined up for their service. Che has yet to be mentioned this season. It is also possible that the dearly departed is someone not yet known to the fanbase.
