Presenter Mel previously told how she’d been diagnosed with autism and shared another diagnosis during her chat with Alan, 47.

As they recalled their long working relationship, Mel said: “It’s been over a decade, for f*** sake! Can you swear on this?”

After Alan advised her it was fine, she said: “Oh good, but I’ll try not to, because I’ve just discovered I have Tourette’s.

“I describe in the book how I laugh at really inappropriate things. I am wired a completely different way and I’m only just understanding it.

“Where I used to think ‘what’s wrong with me?’ No I know it’s everything that’s right with me.”

Mel also opened up about her relationship with Venice toyboy Riccardo Simionato.

She previously set tongues wagging when she was snapped snogging Riccardo, 25.

Mel said: “Venice is next level romantic for me. It was before I went and it certainly was after, because I met somebody there, Riccardo.

“I wasn’t expecting to meet a gondolier in Venice…”

As Alan began to make a crude joke, she continued: “Alright, and to have sex with one – for f*** sake Alan!”

Mel added: “I’ve been back so many time since but I’ve wanted my whole life to go with a romantic partner because I’ve thought my whole life that’s the way you do Venice.

“The minute I decided to go in 2020, I thought ‘I’m not waiting for a boyfriend I’m just going to go by myself’.

“I met Riccardo 24 hours after I got there. I felt really lucky.”

The Sun revealed last year how Mel and Riccardo had called time on their romance.

A source said: “Riccardo is based in Venice, while Mel is in the UK.

“It was really fun and romantic at first travelling back and forth but it wasn’t very sustainable in the long run.

“The pair have nothing but kind things to say about each other and Venice will forever hold a very special place in Mel’s heart.”
