Meghan Markle has a new Netflix show, and while many people are excited for the duchess to jump back into the lifestyle space, some fans are already critiquing her newest venture.
Former working royal Meghan Markle has just made a major announcement. After spending years off of social media, the Duchess of Sussex has made her official Instagram return. Her first post was her running on the beach, but it’s her second post that has captured fans’ attention: the duchess announced her new cooking and lifestyle show called With Love, Meghan, which will premiere on Netflix on January 15.
Fans have been quick to make judgements — both good and bad — on the new show, and many opinions are divided.

Meghan is no stranger to the lifestyle space. Prior to marrying Prince Harry, Meghan ran a lifestyle blog called The Tig, where she detailed things like travel, fashion, and food. She was forced to shut it down after joining the royal family, but this new project is likely her way of getting back in touch with what she loved. Although the show hasn’t premiered yet, the trailer certainly has, and some love it while others don’t. Fans took to Reddit to offer both praise and criticism.
“This looks about as wholesome and harmless a show I’ve ever seen … Looks like a great afternoon easy watch,” one user wrote.
“This actually looks really cute,” someone else commented, while another user added that the show gives “cute vibes.”
“I wish Meghan nothing but the best! I’m gonna watch this show and enjoy it!!” another person added.
But some people, though not too harshly judgmental, were quick to provide some criticism about Meghan’s image and the show’s concept.
“I guess it’s nice that she’s having fun after some pretty glum years … but I guess I can’t help but wish she used her platform for something more meaningful,” one person wrote.
“I can’t get past the rich people vibes. In this economy??” someone else critiqued.
“Meghan is beautiful, intelligent and eloquent. But her aesthetic is too polished and beige to be interesting. Sorry,” another user said.

Although people’s criticisms were somewhat sensible rather than outright mean (Meghan has certainly dealt with some of that through the years, though), people seem to ultimately have mixed feelings about the show. While the “rich people vibes” and “beige” aesthetic could be fair critiques, people will have to watch the show in order to better understand what Meghan is going for.
Many people, whether fans or not, do seem intrigued by what Meghan is doing here. Either way, it looks like With Love, Meghan could get a ton of views, which means it will likely end up being a success for her.
