Meghan Markle’s former best friend Jessica Mulroney posted a cryptic quote to Instagram days before Netflix released volume two of the Duchess of Sussex’s docuseries.
“Best thing I ever did was learn how to move without the crowd,” read the message, which was originally shared on Hamptons interior designer Tom Samet’s account.
The stylist’s mysterious post came as fans continue to wonder why she was not interviewed in volume one of “Harry & Meghan,” which hit the streaming service last Thursday, despite previously being one of Markle’s closest friends.
Viewers did notice, however, that when the “Suits” alum and her husband, Prince Harry, were reflecting on their 2017 engagement in the show, she showed footage of herself FaceTiming a friend named Jess right before the British royal popped the question.
“Oh, my God, Jess, it’s happening,” Markle said in the video. “He told me not to peek.”
Mulroney’s glaring absence from the series led many fans to assume that she and the former actress never fully recovered from their infamous falling out in 2020.
The former BFFs’ relationship took a turn after influencer Sasha Exeter accused Mulroney, 42, of “textbook white privilege” amid the Black Lives Matter movement.
Markle, 41, was reportedly “mortified” that she was “dragged into this complete mess” simply because of her association with Mulroney.
Page Six then broke the news that Markle and Mulroney had already been struggling in their friendship for a while because the duchess thought her pal was “benefitting” from her position as royal.
“Their friendship is definitely not what it was. And really, how can you have such a close friendship when one person is basically making a career out of the friendship?” one source told us at the time.
It’s unclear whether Mulroney makes a cameo in the second half of “Harry & Meghan,” which will spotlight the couple’s 2018 wedding.
The fashion influencer and her children were involved in the ceremony. She also reportedly helped the bride pick out her final dress for the big day.
