Find out what the Duchess of Sussex said during her last podcast that some have interpreted as a shot at the late queen.

Meghan Markle‘s has released the final episode of her Confessions of a Female Founder podcast and some are now up in arms as they are conivinced the duchess took a dig at the late Queen Elizabeth II.

In the last episode, the former Suits star was joined by SPANX’s founder Sara Blakely to discuss “[getting] real about betting on yourself, and building bold business strategies.” But what Meghan told Blakely about other’s people’s opinions isn’t sitting well with everyone.

Here’s more on that, plus what treatment Meghan recieved that her mother-in-law, Princess Diana, used to get as well.

What Meghan said about someone else’s opinion

Express noted that Blakely is the former CEO of the shapewear brand she started in 1998. She had $5,000 to her name when she invested in the business. Today, Blakely has an estimated net worth of more than $1 billion.

During their chat, Meghan said: “If you have an idea about what you are going to name that baby, you keep it so close to your heart, until that baby is born and it’s named. Don’t ask anyone’s opinion.”

Some took that comment as exactly what Meghan did when she and Prince Harry decided to name their daughter, Lilibet, which had been Queen Elizabeth II’s family nickname since she was a child.

Following Lili’s birth, Prince Harry and Meghan insisted that they got permission from the queen to use the name. Of course, Queen Elizabeth would never have publicly reveal whether or not that was true, but “recollections may vary” because others who claim to be in the know were empatic that the Sussexes never asked her.

One royal staff told biographer Robert Hardman that the late queen was “as angry as I’d ever seen her” after hearing that Meghan and Harry had alleged that they’d been given her permission to use the name “Lilibet.” The BBC also reported that the duke and duchess did not inform Queen Elizabeth of their plan to use her nickname before doing so.

Meghan also talked about a treatment she got that Princess Diana used to get as well

Also, during her last podcast episode, Meghan shared that she had regular acupuncture sessions when she was still living in the U.K. and relayed a conversation she had with her accurpuncturist.

“I remember my acupuncturist in the U.K. said to me, and it has always stayed with me, he said, ‘If the baby’s crying, treat the mother,’” the duchess recalled, adding, “It all starts with us. Good Lord, we have to take care of ourselves first.”

Meghan’s late mother-in-law also received accupuncture. Princess Diana’s sessions were with Oonagh Shanley-Toffolo, who later became a close friend and confidante for princess.

According to Express, when she first met Diana, Shanley-Toffolo described her as “suffering physically, emotionally and spiritually. Her hands and feet were blue and she presented a very tormented landscape. Diana was very fragile, very low in energy and in extreme need of affection. Her two boys [William and Harry] were jewels.”
