Meghan Markle Gushes About Princess Lilibet, Says She Is ‘So Proud’ of Her Daughter

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want to give their kids a more private life, and they’re doing so in the United States. Though we haven’t seen much of their daughter, Princess Lilibet, Meghan has said she’s ‘so proud’ of her.

Meghan Markle loves her kids. Although the Duchess of Sussex hasn’t always had the best reputation among the general public, she is a parent, and she can relate to plenty of people in that sense. When Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, were considering stepping back from their royal roles back in 2019, their future family played a big role in that decision.

These days, Meghan is raising Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet alongside Harry, and she recently said she is “so proud” of her three-year-old daughter.

Meghan Markle recently gushed about her three-year-old daughter

Meghan and Harry took a trip to Colombia in August, which was essentially a visit to tell their story, talk about issues they’re passionate about, and learn a little more about the country. During their stay, Meghan had a chance to talk excitedly about her daughter, Lilibet.

“I encourage our daughter,” Meghan said during a speech toward the end of the couple’s trip, according to Express. “At three she has found her voice, and we are so proud of that.” Meghan and Harry don’t say too much about their kids; they have kept them far away from the spotlight, and there are hardly any photographs of the prince and princess. Meghan continued her speech by talking about the other women in her life who inspire her, including her mother, Doria Ragland.

Harry and Meghan moved to the United States with Prince Archie when he was only about 10 months old; they didn’t welcome Lilibet until 2021, and she reportedly has not spent much time with Harry’s family.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s kids don’t have a close relationship with the royals

Although they are a prince and princess, Archie and Lilibet don’t actually have any ties to their royal roots. The two kids supposedly do speak to their grandfather, King Charles, but only on occasion — and they have not spent much time with him in person.

Harry and Meghan remain on poor terms with most of the royal family, so it’s unclear if Archie and Lili will ever have a close relationship with their cousins, aunts, and uncles. The Sussexes have not returned to the UK as a family since 2022. There have been rumors of a reconciliation, but lately, it seems that Harry’s relationship with Prince William is worse than ever; a royal reunion likely depends on whether the brothers ever decide to work on getting closer. But as of now, that doesn’t seem like it will happen any time soon.
