Meghan Markle changes from Chanel flats into $790 Hermès sneakers at the Invictus Games

She’s getting off on the right food.

Meghan Markle made her second appearance at the 2023 Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany Wednesday, switching up her style from a white shorts set to an all-black ‘fit with some pricey designer sneakers.

While the Duchess of Sussex, 42, rocked two under-$200 pieces earlier in the day — wearing a J.Crew Giselle V-Neck Sweater Blazer ($158) and Staud Pleated Cotton Shorts ($175) — Markle changed into a black look to take in a swimming competition with husband Prince Harry.

She wore a sleeveless black sweater with coordinating skinny jeans, trading her two-toned $1,350 Chanel flats for a pair of comfy, yet still high-end gray canvas Hermès sneakers ($790).

The casual style, which features a white sole and black leather trim on the heel, is also available in a teal colorway for those seeking a more adventurous trainer.

The duchess wore her hair twisted into an elegant updo with loose tendrils, keeping the same Anito Ko diamond leaf earrings in her ears from the morning outing and her usual combo of a Cartier Love bracelet ($7,350) worn with Princess Diana’s gold Cartier Tank Française watch ($26,000).

Markle has also been showcasing some affordable pieces over the past two days at the games after traveling from LAX in a laid-back navy J.Crew sweater ($138).

She made her first appearance at the games in another affordable outfit, wearing an on-sale shirt dress from Banana Republic Factory ($60, originally $140) to join the duke at the “Friends @ Home” event, also sporting a beaded bracelet that read “INVICTUS.”

However, the duchess stuck to her penchant for pricey accessories this week, sporting everything from an Hermès Brides de Gala scarf ($1,225) for her flight to the braided Bottega Veneta belt she wore with her Banana Republic dress.

With more Invictus competition to come — and Prince Harry’s 39th birthday this Friday — we’re looking forward to Meghan’s next winning look.
