MEGAN McKenna hit back after fans criticised her for a ‘distracting detail’ in her TikTok video while she cooked dinner.
The 31-year-old took to Instagram where she dished up an Indian-style dinner she prepared almost entirely from ‘scratch’.

While Megan prepared butter chicken curry and potato salad, viewers were furious when they saw her emptying out a microwave rice packet onto the plate.
One user commented: “Microwave rice,” with the facepalm emoji.
Megan hit back and replied: “After I cooked all day the last thing I want to do is cook rice… I prefer the bagged rice anyway! lol give me a break.”
Another fan commented: “Babe you bought packet rice?,” to which Megan replied: “I cooked everything from scratch! Give the girl a break over here.”
Some fans defended Megan with one writing: “Everyone is getting mad over microwaved rice but can’t applaud you for your efforts in actually cooking a curry from scratch.”
“I KNOW RIGHT,” replied Megan.
Another added: “Omg the hate over microwave rice! Get a grip people,” with the rolling eyes emoji.
Viewers were particularly harsh on Megan, because she has a cookbook and is a cooking influencer.
Megan often uses her videos to sell her gluten free cookbook.
She has a highlight reel pinned to her Instagram page dedicated to gluten-free recipes found in her book.
