The 1975’s Matty Healy stopped kissing fans out of respect for “queen” Taylor Swift — months before the two were rumored to be dating.
The British frontman told the audience of one of his band’s January concerts that he was ditching the bold move when she joined him on stage to perform a collaboration.
“I’m not kissing anybody in front of Taylor Swift, have some respect,” Healy said, per resurfaced TikTok footage.
“In front of the queen, it’s not happening.”
The “Style” songstress then asked if she could sing and performed a cover of The 1975’s “The City” from their self-titled debut album.
Prior to Swift’s surprise appearance, Healy regularly asked for consent before kissing lucky attendees.
The Sun reported Wednesday that Healy, 34, and Swift, 33, were “madly in love” despite dating fewer than two months. The rumored reunion comes about a decade after their brief romance.
“It’s super-early days, but it feels right,” the insider alleged. “They first dated, very briefly, almost 10 years ago but timings just didn’t work out.”

The report further claimed that the “All Too Well” singer and her boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn, “actually split” in February, meaning there “was absolutely no crossover” between the actor and “Chocolate” crooner.

The new couple are reportedly planning to take their romance public this weekend when they perform together at Swift’s Nashville concert; however, The 1975 are performing in the Philippines Thursday.
“Both Matty and Taylor have been touring over the past few weeks, so it’s been a lot of FaceTiming and texting but she cannot wait to see him again,” the insider claimed.
Reps for Healy, who previously dated model Gabriella Brooks and FKA twigs, and Swift did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Just last week, Swift was rumored to be seeing F1 driver Fernando Alonso.
News of Swift and Alwyn’s split broke in early April, with a source telling Page Six exclusively that the relationship just “ran its course.”
“It wasn’t dramatic,” said the source.
