While Lopez and Affleck seem to want to play fair in their divorce, what will happen with Artists Equity remains unclear. Affleck and Damon started the production company after Affleck married Lopez, possibly meaning Damon will get dragged into the divorce proceedings. Lopez might be entitled to profits from movies produced by the company.

“Matt’s had serious reservations about Bennifer 2.0 since the beginning,” the source told OK! Magazine in December 2023. “He’s tried to be publicly supportive for Ben’s sake, but the fact is he hates the way J.Lo treats his buddy and can no longer hold his tongue!”
The source added that Damon tried to give Affleck advice on Lopez, but Affleck “totally blew up” on his best friend. “It feels like history repeating itself because 20 years ago, they stopped talking for the exact same reason.”
The insider noted that Damon feels “nauseous” looking at how Lopez treats Affleck. “Seeing his pal out there posing on one red carpet after another, totally playing up this role as J.Lo’s arm candy, makes Matt nauseous,” they claimed. “He can’t stand to see her emasculate Ben.”
