‘Married at First Sight’: Pastor Cal Isn’t Buying David’s Explanation for His Weird Text to Michelle

Pastor Cal isn’t buying it. In the latest episode of Married at First Sight, the relationship expert sits down with David and Michelle in an attempt to get to the bottom of their argument over a questionable text message. But when David doubles down on his strange explanation for the spicy text, Pastor Cal – and Michelle – are left wondering what the real story is, and when the truth will come out.

David and Michelle sit down with ‘MAFS’ expert Pastor Cal Roberson

Last week, David and Michelle had a major blow-up after he mistakenly sent her a text message that read: “You are so damn fine, I want to eat you up.” David insisted he wasn’t sexting another woman. Instead, he claimed that he was responding to a photo his cousin had sent him of her dinner. Michelle thinks that story is laughable.

Now, the Chicago couple is sitting down with Pastor Cal Roberson to discuss the issue. Michelle arrives first to the meeting, and she explains the content of the text and David’s explanation.

“You know that sounds weird,” he says.

“I know. I think it’s a lie,” she replies, before sharing that even though David denied sexting another women, he did admit to messaging women he’d dated in the past.

David shows up, and Pastor Cal gives him a chance to explain himself. It doesn’t go well. David gets defensive and refuses to show the original message he allegedly got from his cousin.

Michelle suspects there’s something bigger going on. Pastor Cal says it feels like David is “hiding something.”

“I have nothing to hide,” he claims, before going on to say that he’s having trouble dealing with Michelle’s constant rejection.

David’s cousin says he asked her to cover for him

David and Michelle are at an impasse. She leaves the meeting with Pastor Cal frustrated.

“Nothing was resolved,” she says. “I still don’t know what the message was about. He’s lying. And it’s disrespectful to everyone involved.”

David says he doesn’t want his cousin to get involved in the drama and won’t ask her to share the photo that supposedly sparked the message. But Michelle eventually manages to get in touch with her. Unsurprisingly, David’s story falls apart.

“I’m going to be completely honest,” the cousin says, before explaining that she never texted David a photo of her meal and that he had asked her to cover for him. Initially, she said yes.

“I didn’t know every detail,” she continues. “When I did find out, I was like, oh no, I can’t be on board with this anymore … I don’t condone it.”

The cousin doesn’t know who David intended to send the message to. But in a preview for the next episode, Michelle says she has a hunch.

“A tiny suspicion is that it could be Madison,” she tells fellow cast member Emem, referring to Allen’s wife. “It’s going to be an interesting couples retreat.”
