Lupita Nyong’o says she’s “happy without hair!” after showing off her newly shaved head on Instagram.
The “Black Panther” star also joked that her “Application for the Dora Milaje submitted!,” referring to the team of female soliders who serve as special forces for Wakanda in the Marvel movie.
Fans absolutely adored Lupita’s freshly shaved head and took to her comments section to compliment her.
“Wakanda forever,” one wrote in support of the 40-year-old actress.
Another approved with, “Stunning! Face Card never declines!!!” as a separate follower raved, “Behold our Queen”
One wrote, “With eyes and bones like yours of course.”
Another called the cut “beautiful, not everyone can were [sic] it like a crown.”

However, some missed the star’s old hair.
“Lupita has shaved her sisterlocs? Noooooooo” a fan tweeted in dismay. “Still cute but Nooooooooooo.”

On April 16, the “Us” actress shared a TikTok where she goes much shorter and shows off a buzz cut before shaving it down to a totally bald look.
“I cut off my hair!” she wrote in the caption, as fans called her “A GORGEOUS QUEEN WITH ANY HAIRSTYLE.”
The “Star Wars” star spoke about her natural hair in 2018 in her cover story for Porter magazine, saying “My hair is something that, historically, has been shunned. I mean, how often do you hear ‘You can’t get a job with hair like that’?
Natural, African, kinky hair — it’s often been painted as uncivilized or wild,” Nyong’o explained.
“Being featured on the cover of a magazine fulfills me as it is an opportunity to show other dark, kinky-haired people, and particularly our children, that they are beautiful just the way they are,” she continued.
