LOVE Island hunk Idris Virgo has revealed plans to swap his reality stardom for a very different career.
The pro boxer – who shot to fame on the dating show back in 2018 – is hoping to land a role in BBC soap EastEnders.

Idris, who also enjoyed recent success in boxing matches against a string of reality stars, may be quitting the day job to step into the acting world.
Idris said: “I do want to start acting, I want to get into acting and hopefully get into a small series or a cameo in one of those movies.”
“I just love to do it. Come on man, I’ve got a good name, Idris Virgo needs to be out there, it’s destined to be. So I’d love to do a bit of acting next year, I’d love to do a bit of acting,” he told The Daily Star.

He went on: “I’d love to do a soap, I’m still a big EastEnders fan and Hollyoaks.

Either EastEnders or Hollyoaks I’d love to do either one of them.”
The sporting star said he’d like to play a villain opposite soap legend Steve McFadden, who plays Phil Mitchell.
It comes after the pro boxer got into a ringside altercation with fellow former Love Islander Tommy Fury as he sat ringside to watch KSI’s fight with Joe Fournier.
KSI’s training partner Virgo ended up getting into it, as the two had a ringside scuffle.
They were once linked with a fight together having both starred in separate seasons of reality TV show Love Island.
Idris will take to the ring to defend his title against ex-Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers in the upcoming Misfits Boxing match later this month.
