‘Love Island’ star Molly-Mae Hague announces split from Tommy Fury one year after engagement

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, who met during Season 5 of “Love Island: UK,” have called it quits.

Hague, 25, announced the shocking news on her Instagram Story Wednesday, telling fans she “never in a million years” thought their relationship would end.

“After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way,” she shared atop a black screen.

Despite their split, the influencer said she will “forever be grateful” for their “beautiful” 1-year-old daughter, Bambi, who she called “the most important thing.”

“Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority,” Hague wrote.

“I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years,” she continued. You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all.”

However, Hague asked that fans respect her privacy as she attempts to “navigate the coming days and weeks” during this “difficult time.”

“I’ll be back when it feels right,” she concluded.

Fury, also 25, has yet to speak out about their split.

The Filter founder celebrated the one-year anniversary of their engagement last month.

“One year ago today I was tricked into going on a fake brand trip on which the love of my life would ask me to marry him 🤍,” she wrote alongside video from the proposal.

The professional boxer popped the question while standing on a stunning cliff in Ibiza. The secluded spot was decorated with massive bouquets of roses and signage that read, “You are my forever and always.”

While Fury wore a black tuxedo for the occasion, Hague looked bridal in a white strapless jumpsuit.

Their daughter, who wore a white dress with puffy sleeves, was also included in the sentimental moment.

Fury presented Hague with Fury presented Hague with a massive six-carat oval engagement ring estimated to be worth over $650,000.

While it’s unclear exactly when the pair broke up, Hague was first pictured without the sparkler at the beginning of July.

She also ditched the ring in her two most recent Instagram photos, which were posted within the last week.

The pair began dating in 2019 after meeting on the hit ITV2 series, where they came in second place.
