‘Love Is Blind’ Alums AD and Ollie Are Engaged

They may not have found the one in the pods, but Love Is Blind still led Amber Desiree “AD” Smith and Ollie Sutherland to their happily ever after.

The alums of the Netflix reality series were guests during the show’s season 8 reunion, which streamed on Sunday, March 9. The pair – who sparked dating rumors last fall – confirmed they were engaged.

During the reunion, Ollie and AD teased the upcoming season of Perfect Match, which will air in summer 2025. The promo was followed by footage of Ollie’s romantic beach proposal.

“You’re my best friend, you’re the love of my life. I’ve never felt as happy as I have since I’ve met you,” Ollie declared as he got down on one knee. “Nothing would make me happier than spending the rest of my life loving you. Will you marry me?”

AD was so overcome with emotion she could barely squeak out an answer.

“Is that a yes?” he asked as AD jumped up and down in excitement.

After the reunion episode dropped, Ollie shared a slideshow of photos of him and AD on his Instagram. “THIS is how you do a hard launch!” he wrote.

AD and Ollie from ‘Love Is Blind’ met on ‘Perfect Match’

AD appeared on Love Is Blind Season 6, where her romance with Clay Gravesande ended in a heartbreaking breakup at the altar. Ollie was part of the Love Is Blind: UK cast. He was engaged to Demi Brown, but they didn’t go through with the wedding.

Last year, both AD and Ollie signed on for Perfect Match Season 3, which brings together alums of various Netflix reality series, including Love Is Blind, Too Hot Too Handle, and The Circle. They ended up forming a lasting connection. Their shared experience on Love Is Blind helped lay the foundation for their relationship, Ollie told host Vanessa Lachy

“Even as early on as when we were on Perfect Match, I noticed that we were having the deeper conversations, the more important conversations, talking about shared values and similar outlooks on life,” he said. “I think that really laid the groundwork and the foundation for the beautiful relationship we have now, and I definitely attribute a lot of that to our experiences on Love Is Blind.”

Love Is Blind and Love Is Blind: UK are streaming on Netflix.
