Lily Allen claims she never had sex ‘not drunk’ before husband David Harbour: ‘It’s a totally different thing’

Lily Allen claimed she never had sex “not drunk” before her husband, David Harbour.

“I don’t think I’d ever had sex with anybody not drunk before I got together with him. So, that was different for sure,” the British singer candidly told the Times of London in an interview published Saturday.

“It’s a totally different thing. It’s unavoidable, conscious and real,” she went on. “He had a lot of experience with it, so it’s been helpful to do it with someone that’s long-in-the-tooth in that game.”

Allen, 39, has been sober for five years and is now an ambassador for the Forward Trust, the addiction charity patronized by Kate Middleton.

Harbour, 49, has been sober since he was 25 years old.

The pair got married in Las Vegas by an Elvis impersonator in September 2020.

Earlier this year, Allen admitted the “Stranger Things” star has many sex-related requests that she turns down.

“I wonder if I kink-shame my husband. Because he often asks for things, and I’m like, ‘No, babe, it’s not happening,’” she said on her “Miss Me?” podcast.

The “Smile” hitmaker started working on her sobriety years before marrying Harbour — after having some “rock bottom” moments following her split from ex-husband Sam Cooper.

The first incident occurred when she discovered Cooper had moved on with someone after their marriage crumbled in 2016.

“I drank myself into oblivion. I went over to his house and started screaming at him, woke the kids up, you know, really distressed the children,” she recalled in her interview with the Times.

Allen also remembered grabbing a drink with a friend following another embarrassing incident.

After she ordered a gin and tonic, her pal replied, “Oh, you really need that drink.” Those words woke her up to the reality of her situation.

“I remember feeling so incensed,” she told the outlet. “When they were in the bathroom, I was like, ‘Why do I feel so angry at somebody insinuating that I need this drink?’

“And it was because I did. It really had control over me,” she admitted. “I just felt like I was no longer in control of my own destiny. I went to a meeting the next morning.”

Allen now attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings every Saturday and Sunday, both in person and via Zoom.

She said her two kids also “monitor” her to make sure she doesn’t miss a meeting.

“They know that it takes work, and that it’s something that I have to prioritize,” she said.
