Lauren Sánchez appeared to be carrying around the most expensive cup of coffee on the planet while in Paris. But looks can be deceiving.
Following her star-studded wedding to Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sánchez was spotted in Paris at the Balenciaga Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2025/2026 show on July 9.
Sánchez donned a black coat dress and pumps along with oversized sunglasses from the brand to the event. But it was a white accessory she was holding that made headlines. Sánchez appeared to be carrying a to-go coffee cup, but she didn’t just grab a latte from Starbucks.
What resembled a coffee cup is actually a Balenciaga’s 9 AM clutch bag, which retails for $5,750.
This isn’t the first time Mrs. Bezos has been seen carrying the clutch. She was first spotted with it in April and since then fans’ opinions on it have been divided. While some called it “fun” and “eclectic,” others couldn’t believe the cost and branded it a “waste of money.”
As for the show, it was Demna’s last one as a designer for the brand and Sánchez wasn’t the only high-profile attendee. Nicole Kidman, Lorde, Naomi Watts, Cardi B, Salma Hayek Pinault, and Patrick Schwarzenegger were also on hand.
Sánchez’s pal, Kim Kardashian, was a surprise model and walked in the show. The SKIMS co-founder paid tribute to Elizabeth Taylor wearing jewelry that once belonged to the late icon.
