Lance Reddick’s wife shares emotional tribute to late actor

Lance Reddick’s sudden death came as a shock to many including his wife who posted an emotional tribute to her late husband on Saturday.

Stephanie Reddick, who married “The Wire” actor in 2011, shared a message on his Instagram for his 139K followers.

“Lance was taken from us far too soon,” Stephanie Reddick said. “Thank you for all your overwhelming love, support and beautiful stories shared on these platforms over the last day. I see your messages and can’t begin to express how grateful I am to have them.

The couple has two children, Yvonne Nicole Reddick and Christopher Reddick.

“And to the thousands of Destiny players who played in special tribute to Lance, thank you,” she sadded. “Lance loved you as much as he loved the game.”

Reddick, who died Friday morning in his home at the age of 60 from natural causes, voiced Commander Zavala in the first-person shooter game series “Destiny.”

Many “Destiny” players paid tribute to Reddick by meeting up at the location in the game where Reddick’s character could be found, and saluting to their fallen commander.

“Donations may be made to momcares.org in Baltimore, his hometown. -Stephanie Reddick,” the post concluded.

Halle Berry also took to Instagram on Saturday to share her own tribute to her “John Wick” co-star saying he lit up every room he was in.

“I send my heartfelt condolences to the family and all those who knew and loved Lance,” Berry said. “I’ll never forget the huge smile and heartfelt hug Lance gave me as I walked on the set of John Wick for the first time.
