Lala Kent has weighed in on Scheana Shay’s admission that Brock Davies cheated on her. While Kent was once a vocal critic of Davies for his relationship with the children from a past relationship, she has since grown close to the couple. She said that while she doesn’t want to comment on the relationship between Shay and Davies, she does think that he has been a good father to his daughter, Summer Moon.

In an excerpt from her upcoming memoir, Shay revealed that her husband had an affair several years ago. She was pregnant at the time. The news came as a shock to fans of Vanderpump Rules, but Kent admitted she had known about it before this.
She complimented Shay on the passage in her upcoming memoir, My Good Side, in which she details the affair. While Kent didn’t comment on Davies’ infidelity, she did compliment his behavior as a father.
She noted that she and Davies “had our ups and downs and I’ve said some things to him and called out some red flags to me. Since then, what I have watched is him be a great father to Summer Moon.”
“I just find him to be a very hands-on and great dad,” she said.
Kent previously called out Davies for his distant relationship with his first two children. They live in Australia, and he hasn’t seen them in years.
“What I know about life is it doesn’t always go as we planned,” she said. “There are a million moments that I look back on in my own life and go, ‘Damn, you know, if I could get a redo I would really do that differently.’ I know for a fact he feels that way.”
As Kent noted, she previously had problems with Davies. During a season nine episode of Vanderpump Rules, she spoke about how shocking she found it that he hadn’t seen his son Eli or daughter Winter in four years. He defended himself in 2021 by saying he was in a much different place in his life now.
“They’re going to come for me,” he told Page Six. “They’re going to come for the jugular. And I’m OK for that because I understand my faults, what I’ve done in my past, and going forward I’ve done the right thing.”
Shay also noted that Kent criticized him before she “knew the full context of the situation.”

Shay admitted to frequently worrying about rumors of her husband’s infidelity, particularly in the wake of Scandoval. He always denied it until one night when they sat down to watch television together. He admitted to conducting an affair several years before, while Shay was pregnant.
“Just when I thought my world had been rocked beyond anything I could have imagined, it was officially shattered into pieces — pieces I wasn’t sure I could put back together,” she wrote, per Glamour. “I didn’t want to believe what he was telling me, and, oddly, I didn’t know how to react, either. I was so angry, so sad, and so hurt; those were givens. There was this deep fury bubbling inside of me, and I couldn’t release it.”
Ultimately, though, Shay decided to forgive Davies and remain married.
