Kourtney Kardashian was the only female member of her famous family who did not attend Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s over-the-top Venice wedding — and many fans praised her for it.
The Lemme founder took to Instagram over the weekend to show off her beach getaway with daughter Penelope and sons Reign and Rocky.
“🖤🌻🐚🖇️,” she captioned the post, which included multiple shots and videos of the waves, as well as pics of herself wearing a lacy black dress and another one of her children.
Many fans took to the comments section to applaud her for “minding her own business.”
“Cool Kardashians say no to the Bezos wedding !” one person wrote while another simply said, “Thank you for not going to that disgusting wedding.”
Many echoed the same sentiments with a third saying, “So glad you didn’t go to that wedding babes 😍😍😍😍.”
“Kourtney said no Bezos thank you I have to go to the beach and eat strawberries,” a fourth joked, while another suggested that the eldest Kardashian sister had not gone to the wedding because she “was mad that Bezos took her wedding country and Living La dolce vita.”
Kourtney, 46, married Travis Barker, 49, in a lavish wedding ceremony at a castle in Portofino, Italy. And, just like Sánchez, she also wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress.
Since taking a step back from her family’s Hulu show, “The Kardashians,” Kourtney has remained somewhat out of the limelight while taking care of her children.
The reality TV star shares Mason,15, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 10, with ex Scott Disick, while she welcomed Rocky in November 2023 with Barker.
As Page Six previously reported, the Kardashian-Jenner clan traveled to Europe last week to attend what was deemed the “wedding of the year.”
Kim and Khloé Kardashian were first seen in Venice on Thursday, where the Skims founder was spotted warmly greeting a newly single Orlando Bloom following his split from Katy Perry.
Kris Jenner was later seen joining the two sisters on a water taxi with long-term boyfriend Corey Gamble. Kylie and Kendall Jenner were also photographed all glammed up for the three-day celebration, which included a pajama-themed afterparty.
However, not all the Kardashians were initially set to go to the wedding. Page Six revealed that Khloé, Kendall and Kylie were not invited until their mom pulled some strings.
“Originally, the quintet was going to be a duo of just Kim and Kris. But Mama Kris asked Lauren if she could bring the other three when they were in Paris for the bachelorette party,” a source told us.
“Lauren barely knows [Khloé, Kendall and Kylie] outside of simple pleasantries.”
According to our insider, this is standard practice, as Kris “often [asks] big events about” bringing the whole family.
We hear, like any good mom, she was hoping her single daughters might meet “rich and famous significant others” at the wedding.
The celebrations for Bezos and Sánchez’s wedding kicked off last Thursday with a welcome party followed by the ceremony the next day.
Celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Brady, Ivanka Trump, Sydney Sweeney and many more partied throughout the weekend before celebrations wrapped up in the early hours of Sunday.
