Kim Kardashian will never forget when she was robbed in a hotel in Paris in October 2016 before 3 a.m. When recounting the events, she explains how the five robbers handcuffed and zip-tied her at gunpoint. They also taped over her mouth and eyes with duct tape and left her in the bathroom of her hotel suite. The robbers took Kardashian’s $10 million jewelry collection, which included a $4 million ring from Kanye “Ye” West.
There are currently 12 defendants in the case — 11 men and one woman. Aomar Aït Khedach, 69, admitted to leading the gang, and Yunice Abbas, 72, wrote a book about robbing Kardashian.
The Paris hotel robbery trial will begin in April 2025. Kardashian will give her testimony in May 2025.
An insider told Us Weekly that Kardashian feels “power” in fighting against the criminals.
“She went through a horrible ordeal and this is giving her the power to fight back,” the source explained. “Kim feels the robbery changed her and made her stronger, and this is a symptom of that strength.”
