Kim Kardashian is no stranger to the spotlight, but these days, she’s trading red carpets for law libraries. The reality star-turned-aspiring attorney is steadily reshaping her public persona, delving deeper into criminal justice reform and legal advocacy. From her work on prison reform cases to her ongoing efforts to pass the bar exam through California’s unconventional path to licensure, Kardashian is proving she’s more than just a face on Hulu. Now, a source says she’s considering her next move, and she might head into politics. Could Kardashian become the next U.S. president?
Kim Kardashian thinks ‘she could really make a difference’ in politics or as the next president, a source says
After years of late-night studying, Kim Kardashian has officially completed her law program. Enrolled in California’s unique “law office study” program, Kardashian’s dedication paid off when she passed the “baby bar” exam. Now, with her studies wrapped, she’s one step closer to taking the full California bar.
Fans keeping up with Kardashian’s law journey expected her to become a lawyer. However, she might have her eye on politics. Sources told RadarOnline that she’s “very intrigued” by the political world and thinks she could use her influence for good.
“Kim is very intrigued by politics,” a source claimed. “She’s much more aware than people give her credit for, and now that she has a law degree, she’s feeling very inspired to put it to use. She’s mixing in all these high-level circles and engaging with people who are doing really big things, and she’s starting to consider what she wants her legacy to be.”
The source noted that she’s “intrigued by the idea of running for some sort of office.” She also has “so many connections” who could help her “really make a difference.” While Kardashian is interested in local politics, she’s also “thinking bigger and talking about things in a more national and international scope.”
“People roll their eyes, but eventually, the world builds up to it,” the source continued. “If six or so authors really like Trump could do it, why not Kim?”
The reality star previously said she doesn’t know if she’d ever want to run for office
While Kim Kardashian has never officially declared allegiance to a specific political party, her actions lean toward progressive causes. Over the past several years, she’s worked closely with both Republican and Democratic leaders. Most notably, she lobbied the Trump administration for criminal justice reform. And she later collaborated with the Biden administration on similar issues.
During an interview with The Free Press, Kardashian admitted that she feels like her political affiliation is “a mix of both” parties. “I believe in the rights that the Democrats want, but I believe in the taxes that the Republicans want,” she said. “I’m a mix of both.”
At the time of the interview in 2021, Kardashian also noted that she had no plans to run for office. “As of right now, no,” she responded to the question. “I understand the responsibility, and it’s an extremely hard job, and I don’t know if I’d ever want that.”
Kim Kardashian once allegedly told Kanye ‘Ye’ West not to run for president
In one of the most unexpected moments of 2020, Kanye “Ye” West launched a headline-grabbing bid for the U.S. presidency. Announcing his campaign via Twitter on July 4th, West promised to run under the “Birthday Party” banner, declaring that if he won, “it would be everybody’s birthday.” His campaign, a mix of celebrity spectacle and scattered political messaging, included emotional rallies, controversial statements, and a late scramble to get on state ballots.
While Kim Kardashian is rumored to consider a run for the presidency now, she allegedly warned West not to run in 2020. “Kim urged Kanye to not move forward with running for president, but he won’t listen,” a source told People. The insider added that Kardashian wanted West “to get his priorities straight,” as he hadn’t “seen the kids for weeks.”
