We will miss seeing Leslie Fhima and Gary Levingston connect on Bachelor in Paradise. Still, there might be a new golden couple in town. Faith Martin and Kim Buike have only known each other for a short time, but the pair appears to be bonded. At the very least, a new clip proves that they have developed feelings for each other. Kathy Swarts initially claimed she “didn’t see it,” but we think she’s wrong.
In a sweet clip obtained by Decider, Kim and Faith sit down to have a little chat about his heart hiccups. The retired naval officer told Faith that the medical staff wanted him to wear a monitor so they could catch his heart’s activity in real-time. Faith became visibly upset, wiping away tears. Kim moved quickly to dry her eyes and reassure her, telling her that it’s “ok” and it was a “good thing.” He went on to apologize to her for being “flawed.” By the end, the two Washington state residents were making jokes, which can only be a good sign. The medical hiccup is surely scary, but it did give us a glimpse into just how closely bonded Kim and Faith have become. We absolutely love that for her.
In a previous episode, Kim Buike sought medical attention after his heart rate was elevated. He was initially cleared to return to the resort. Still, it appears that he may be experiencing some ongoing issues. The monitor he was referencing may be a Holter monitor. It is a wearable device that records the heart’s activity over one or two days.

Faith Martin and Kim Buike are both seemingly ready to find love again, after they both suffered big losses. Kim Buike was married to Mary Buike until her death in 2017. Kim has spoken openly about his late wife’s battle with ovarian cancer. He shared her hope for better awareness and early detection. A scholarship is named in her honor.
Faith Martin was divorced, but remained close friends with her ex-husband until his death in 2022. Martin revealed during an appearance on Bachelor Happy Hour that her ex-husband, Brett Martin, died from addiction-related causes. She admitted that she had not properly grieved the loss. She also noted she had not worked through the end of her marriage or the trauma around his death when she first appeared on The Golden Bachelor.
