The exes, who split in 2009, have two children together – Junior and Princess Andre.
But Katie’s on and off man Carl is said to be irked as she ‘constantly references’ Peter, 50.
An insider told OK! Magazine: “Katie’s relationships will never truly work because she’s always going to feel for Pete. She loves to talk about him, she can’t help it
“She’s spoken about him in every relationship and compares them to Pete – it’s an ongoing problem.
“It annoys Carl when she brings up Pete and it causes friction and arguments in their already rocky relationship. But Carl knows she’ll never truly get over Pete.”
The source even went on to say Katie believes her and Pete “should still be together”.
They continued: “Katie is never going to let go of him. She feels that letting him leave is the biggest mistake she ever made and doesn’t accept any responsibility for it.

“As far as she’s concerned, they should still be together.”
Meanwhile, Carl has desperately offered a £5k reward after his Range Rover was stolen.
He took to Instagram to plead with followers on Sunday to help him track down the flashy vehicle which was last seen in Essex.
“Stolen, my Range Rover has been stolen last night from Felsted, Dunmow,” he wrote.
“£5,000 reward for the car back. If the car is seen anywhere please send to me. Share this post everywhere.”
Woods went on to say the vehicle had his initials as a number plate when stolen which could make it easier to identify.
