Katie Price breaks silence on dressage trainer Andrew Gould after he was called up to Olympics and affair rumours

KATIE Price has broken her silence on her former dressage trainer Andrew Gould after he was called up for Team GB at the Olympics.

This week Charlotte Dujardin, 39, pulled out of the upcoming Paris Games after a disturbing clip emerged online showing her striking a horse 25 times with a large whip.

The horror footage sparked worldwide condemnation and meant that Great Britain’s dressage team was forced to call up its reserves to plug the gap.

It means reservist Becky Moody will take Charlotte’s place as part of the trio going for gold, while Andrew will become the new reservist.

As a result Andrew’s history with Katie, 46, has resurfaced. He was at the centre of her divorce from Peter Andre in 2009.

In 2012 the former glamour model claimed Pete, 51, ended their marriage as he thought she’d been unfaithful with Andrew.

But today Katie addressed the rumours again during an appearance on the Jeremy Vine Show.

She said: “I never, ever had an affair with him. We said that at the time. You do spend a lot of time together [when you’re training].”

But despite the scandal surrounding their friendship at the time, Katie only had good things to say about Andrew.

She added: “It’s brilliant that he’s making it into the Olympics team, he was the guy who taught me dressage.”

The mum-of-five did insist she and Andrew are no longer in touch – but she still has a connection to him through one of her friends.

She said: “I only found out [about the Olympics] yesterday, I haven’t seen Andrew for years. I think he got remarried, he had another child… my best friend does his wife’s hair.

“You just sort of move on. I’m sure if I see him, I’ll wish him luck as he deserves it.”

Katie previously insisted she knew her marriage to Pete was over after she was pictured on a night out with Andrew and their equestrian pals.

Katie told OK! that Peter phoned her and told her ‘he had also found a McDonald’s receipt for two in her car’ and that ‘their marriage was over’.
