Tucked away in the industrial heart of Los Angeles, Kanye “Ye” West‘s enigmatic warehouse is more than just a creative space. This compound is ground zero for West’s unfiltered imagination, from fashion prototypes to unreleased music and architectural experiments. However, West’s neighbors are growing concerned over what’s going on in the warehouse, as they’ve reportedly filed noise complaints and reported odd sightings.
Neighbors of Kanye ‘Ye’ West’s Los Angeles warehouse reported ‘chanting’ and ‘music blaring’
Kanye “Ye” West reportedly owns a building on the corner of Beverly Boulevard and Kingsley Drive in East Hollywood. It’s unclear exactly what happens in the warehouse, but his neighbors are growing concerned by what they see and hear. The neighbors spoke to KTLA on April 23, 2025, about hearing “chanting” and loud music.
“They put up metal walls now, so we don’t know what’s going on,” resident Conor Tierney told the news outlet. “Then, [we heard] a chanting of only men dressed in black … it’s been weird to see.”
West has reportedly held rehearsals and casting calls at the location in the past few months.
“There are raves and concerts here on the weekends,” resident Justin Wang said. “On weekdays, there’s been noises, there’s been groups of men doing push-ups and other exercises over here, and you can hear music blaring from the parking lot.”
“I have no idea what [the building] is … it’s kind of a mystery to me,” said resident Myra Mendoza. “I would say [the noise] bothers my older neighbors … it’s the kind of music I personally listen to, but it is pretty loud at night.”
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to seven noise complaints from the warehouse since the beginning of 2025. Additionally, the department reported a hate crime for a swastika painted on the side of the building.
“It’s across the street from a school, and I don’t think kids should necessarily deal with that imagery, especially if they don’t know what it means,” Tierney added.
Kanye ‘Ye’ West put out an ‘urgent advertisement’ to cast men ‘comfortable wearing swastikas’
Kanye “Ye” West is doing a lot more than just blaring loud music in his LA warehouse. According to TMZ, West posted an “urgent” advertisement seeking “AFRICAN AMERICAN MALES” for his “hooligan choir.” The ad noted that West wanted men to wear all black and have the complexion of Sean “Diddy” Combs. Additionally, the men had to be “COMFORTABLE WEARING SWASTIKAS.”
The outlet noted that Black men with shaved heads were spotted standing in military formation to try out for whatever West has up his sleeve. It’s unclear exactly what West has planned.
West previously shocked the world with his antisemitic posts on X. He was suspended from Twitter after posting an image that combined a swastika with the Star of David, a symbol of Judaism. While speaking to Alex Jones, West added, “I see good things about Hitler,” and, “We gotta stop dissing the Nazis all the time.”
The rapper reportedly lived in a warehouse during his divorce battle with Kim Kardashian
During the turbulent months of his high-profile divorce from Kim Kardashian, Kanye “Ye” West retreated into the solitude of a warehouse. An anonymous source contacted Deuxmoi in 2021 to say West lived in his Soho warehouse after publicly begging Kardashian to “run right back” to their marriage. It’s unclear if the warehouse is the same one West owns today. Given the context, it seems it’s likely the same space.
“Kanye’s been living at soho warehouse in dtla [sic],” the source alleged, according to RadarOnline. “Casually walks and hangs out. Been here since hoover concert [sic].”
Court documents revealed that Kardashian would receive the couple’s multi-house Hidden Hills property in the divorce. The couple bought the property for $20 million in 2014.
