The legal battle between Kanye West and his ex-assistant rages on. Here’s why she’s requesting thousands of dollars in sanctions against the rapper.

While Kanye West currently resides in Tokyo with his wife, Bianca Censori, there’s trouble brewing back home. His ex-assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, has an ongoing lawsuit against the rapper accusing him of sexual assault, harassment, and wrongful termination. Pisciotta’s legal team is now pushing for thousands of dollars in sanctions. Here’s what’s going on.

The lawsuit filed by Lauren Pisciotta against Kanye West continues into early 2025. Pisciotta is suing West for sexual assault as well as “false imprisonment, sexual harassment, fraud and broken promises, and failure to pay all wages due by [Ye],” court documents obtained by In Touch Weekly state. Pisciotta also noted that West acts “immune from the law.”

While she served papers to West’s companies, she’s having trouble tracking down the rapper, as he currently resides in Tokyo and frequently travels abroad. Because West hasn’t responded to the papers and hasn’t provided key documents her legal team requested, she now seeks $2,100 in sanctions against his companies. Pisciotta’s requested documents included employee handbooks, emails sent to and from her company email, any documents that refer to her, all texts sent between them, and any documents showing money paid to her.

Pisciotta filed her original complaint against West in October 2024. West allegedly promised to pay her $1 million annually if she made herself available to him 24/7. He also requested she delete her OnlyFans profile, which she did. West denied all claims that Pisciotta made against him via his rep. The statement provided by West noted he planned to sue Pisciotta, who allegedly “pursued him sexually to coerce employment and other material benefits.”
