Kailyn Lowry Says a Production Company Is Interested in a Show About Her Son, but It’s Not a Done Deal

Reality TV News

Elliot Rivera might be a reality TV star in his own right soon. Kailyn Lowry says a production company is interested in creating a series from Elliot’s perspective.

Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry walked away from MTV in 2022 for a variety of reasons. Since then, she has focused entirely on her podcasting network and, of course, the logistical nightmare of having children by multiple fathers. While Lowry seems perfectly content not being on TV on a regular basis, her eldest child feels differently. Lowry’s eldest son, Elliot Rivera, is reportedly in talks to star in his own show. His mother shared the details.

Kailyn Lowry discusses a potential new show focused on Elliot

Kailyn Lowry has been dealing with plenty of drama in recent months, but that hasn’t stopped her from discussing the good things that are going on in her life. During a recent appearance on Give Them Lala, Lowry opened up about her children’s growing and shifting interests. She even shared some exciting news. Lowry says production companies are exploring a potential project that is focused entirely on her son, Elliot Rivera.

Kailyn suggested the project, which is in very early development, would be a reality TV series that would focus on life through Elliot’s eyes. There is no network attached to it, nor is there a name to the project. Lowry even cautioned that it’s entirely possible it will never come to fruition. Still, she seems proud that Elliot, at only 15, is already in talks to map out a potential career.

Elliot Rivera has his own following

If Elliot Rivera does get his own TV show, he won’t need to rely solely on Teen Mom fans for viewership. He’s carved out his own niche online in recent years, even without. While Elliot rose to fame on Teen Mom as a baby, he has more recently begun carving out his own online presence. His social media uploads, which focus on his journey to learn sign language, have won him plenty of fans.

The teen has nearly 500,000 followers on Instagram and regularly posts content that includes his mother and siblings. In May 2024, he uploaded a viral video of himself signing a famous scene from Teen Mom 2. In the scene, his father, Jo Rivera, tells his mother, Kailyn Lowry, that she doesn’t “deserve” to be outside in the sun but rather should be in a cave. The video has more than 200,000 views. The scene, filmed over a decade ago, remains a fan favorite thanks to Jo’s deadpan delivery and Kailyn’s abject confusion.
