It’s official: Kailyn Lowry is ready and willing to get married again. The former Teen Mom 2 star recently revealed that she and her partner, Elijah Scott, aren’t just building a house together, but they are ready to make it legal and build their life together. While Lowry and Scott are engaged, the proposal was untraditional and incredibly low-key.

Kailyn Lowry made the big announcement on the most recent episode of her podcast, Coffee Convos, after co-host Lindsie Chrisley noticed that Lowry was wearing a new piece of jewelry. Lowry admitted that she and Elijah Scott were officially engaged while she showed off a diamond ring.
Lowry is interested in keeping everything with Scott pretty low-key, and their engagement story fits the vibe. She revealed that Scott had asked her to marry him multiple times, but she always assumed he was joking. She suggested they’d talk when he had a ring. Lowry revealed that Scott appeared with a ring one day while she was getting ready. He didn’t get down on one knee; Rather, he handed her the box.
Lowry and Scott aren’t sharing their wedding plans with the public if they have them. They did not announce a planned wedding date, nor did they suggest they were even planning their ceremony.
Scott and Lowry have both been married before. Lowry was married to Javi Marroquin from 2012 until 2016. The couple finalized their divorce in 2017. Little is known about Scott’s ex-wife.

Anyone keeping up with Lowry’s drama with her ex, Chris Lopez, probably already assumed the mother of seven was engaged to Elijah Scott. Lopez has made a name for himself talking about his ex online and has no interest in slowing down.
In late July, Lopez was doing what he does on the internet, trashing the mother of his sons, when he casually revealed Lowry has plans to walk down the aisle in September. Lopez said it was troubling that Lowry’s three youngest sons do not share their father’s last name despite Lowry’s plans to marry him. Lopez didn’t share an exact wedding date or location. He likely doesn’t have those details, at least not yet.
Chris Lopez is the father of two of Lowry’s six sons. They welcomed their first son, Lux Lowry, in 2017. Their second child together, Creed Lowry-Lopez, was born in 2020. Scott is the father of Rio Lowry and twins Verse and Valley Lowry. Lowry shares her son Lincoln with Marroquin. She welcomed her eldest son, Isaac Rivera, with her high school boyfriend, Jo Rivera, in 2010.
