AS one of electronic music’s most in-demand DJs and producers, Joseph Capriati marks a milestone in his illustrious career with the release of Global Underground GU47: Montreal, which is out now.

The first Italian artist to join the iconic GU City Series, Capriati showcases his signature versatility across two discs – Bright Disc, exploring deep and soulful house with artists like KiNK, Solomun, Louie Vega, and Âme, and Obscure Disc, diving into his vibrant techno roots with tracks from Indira Paganotto, Len Faki, and the man himself.

The mix also includes a brand-new exclusive track, “Meandri”, dropping ahead of the full release.

With nearly two decades on the global circuit, Capriati’s reputation as a genre-defying selector is cemented, from his celebrated sets at Amnesia to remixes for legends like Carl Cox and Adam Beyer. His GU47 mix is a masterclass in flow, emotion, and pure club energy.

Capriati will bring that same energy to Ibiza next month, headlining the opening party of [UNVRS], one of the White Isle’s most anticipated new clubs, alongside Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, The Martinez Brothers, Michael Bibi, Salomé Le Chat, Adam Ten, Mita Gami, Carista and Ahmed Spins.

Get a taste of what’s to come and dive into Joseph Capriati’s exclusive GU47: Montreal playlist for The Night Bazaar below. Here’s what Joseph had to say about compiling the music.

He told us: “It wasn’t easy to do a selection of tracks for this compilation, so I picked 10 tracks randomly because the entire selection is part of this music journey. Working on this album has been an exciting experience: I’m really satisfied, and I hope many people will enjoy this mix.

“None of this would have been possible without the listeners and, in particular, the producers who always manage to create timeless music. I’m happy that the Global Underground team believed in this project. It’s incredible how music is always the driving force and the motivation that pushes us to give our best.”

Joseph Capriati – Meandri

I produced this track a year and a half ago. I rewrote it, polished it, and played it myself. It’s definitely a club and festival track with a purely techno imprint. You have to try it to believe it. It’s not just good; it’s truly unique.

John Thomas – Working Night (DJ Rolando Remix)

I love this old-fashioned techno track by John Thomas, enhanced by a special remix from DJ Rolando with house piano stabs and rounded synthesizer arpeggios. It takes me back in time.

Louie Vega feat. Ananè – Cosmic Witch (Mochakk Remix)

Mochakk truly made his mark on this great tune by Louie Vega and Anané, keeping the original groove alive while adding a fresher touch.

Pat Bannister – Got Funk (DJ Swisherman & Beads Remix)

This is a track that’s become a must-have in my techno sessions recently. It’s a hardgroove banger made in 2024, yet it takes you back to the amazing rave era. It’s a pure explosion of energy.

Sandy Rivera – I Can’t Stop (Joseph Capriati Groove Remix)

For me, this is one of those tracks that’s difficult to remix because it’s a timeless classic, and I tried to give it a fresh and modern touch. Additionally, the vocals can be used in different genres; in fact, I often use the acapella in my DJ sets, both house and techno, as it adapts to all kinds of sounds. Definitely, it’s an untouchable masterpiece, but I did my best to give it a refresh for our times.

Rino Cerrone – Rilis 07 B3

One of my favourite tracks by my mentor, Rino Cerrone, the man who has inspired me the most. I always play some of Rino’s classic tracks because it doesn’t matter how old his projects are; Rino’s music is timeless.

Human Space Machine – Places (Original Mix)

This is a trip into one of the most hypnotic techno tracks ever made. Released in 2019, it’s still in my record collection and remains a peak-time tune in my club sets.

Joseph Capriati – Psychic Journey (Original Mix)

I’m very satisfied with this work. I’ve been playing ‘Psychic Journey’ since it was released on my latest album, Metamorfosi. It’s a combination of psychedelic sounds and a bouncing dark techno groove.

Ame – Asa (Original Mix)

This masterpiece is a celebration of joy. Whenever I play it, the crowd is taken on a special journey where mind, body, and soul are fully connected. The vibes I take back from the dancefloor are absolutely overwhelming.

Roland Clark, Honey Luv – This Is My Life (Carl Cox Extended Mix)

A cool and bouncy remix by the man himself, Carl Cox, who knows exactly what to add to a track to make it bumpier and more explosive. A special extended re-touch made for the bravest dancers.
