THEIR romance has been playing out quietly behind the scenes for weeks.
But JESS GLYNNE and ALEX SCOTT’s relationship went to the next level on Tuesday, when Alex was introduced to the singer’s parents.

Football Focus host Alex mingled with Jess’s mum and dad as she put on an intimate performance for fans at the Hawley Arms pub in Camden, North London.
Keen not to take the spotlight off Jess, ex-England ace Alex kept a low profile at the packed-out boozer, which was rammed with Jess’s friends.
An onlooker said: “Alex is clearly smitten with Jess and she looked completely at home with her friends and family.
“It was a massive night for her, so Alex stayed back and made sure it was all about Jess. It was very sweet to see.”
Jess, who is working towards her as-yet-untitled third album, blew me away with her vocals on the night as she performed her new single Friend Of Mine and an unreleased track called Promise Me.
In an exclusive chat after her performance at the London boozer, where Jess also got behind the bar to pull some pints for punters, she said she felt like she’d come home.
‘A lot has changed’
Jess told me: “I had some fun nights here. I grew up in North London and the Hawley Arms is a place I’d come to a lot, as well as the Lock Tavern. It’s where I grew up.
“When I grew up, AMY WINEHOUSE was an idol of mine and I’d come in here and see her having a drink or whatever. Now I am playing here and it feels like it has come full circle.”

But Jess admitted she felt nervous getting up on stage and became emotional when she performed Promise Me — telling the crowd it was penned during a hard time in her life.
The star, who split from Atlantic Records last January before signing with EMI, said: “The story behind this song is really important. A lot has changed in my career.
“When I started writing this album, I went to LA on my own and it was really lonely and weird.
“I had a lot of fallings-out and a lot of people were really negative around me and, like, beat me down to the point where I didn’t believe in myself.

“I remember sitting in my hotel room on the end of my bed and I started writing this song — it is called Promise Me.”
Jess’s first two albums also went straight to No1 but she isn’t feeling the pressure with her third record, which is the follow-up to 2018’s Always In Between.
She said: I’ve learned in life, as long as you do what you love and you believe in it that is all that matters. Expectation should not be a thing.
“I had incredible success with my last label in its own way and I think, everything ends and happens for a reason.”
Jess holds the record for the most UK No1 singles by a female artist, and after listening to Promise Me, I think she could easily hit the top spot for the eighth time.
