Jennifer Aniston intruder ‘held up at gunpoint after ramming car through gates of her Bel Air pad’ while she was home

AN INTRUDER was reportedly held at gunpoint by Jennifer Aniston’s security team after smashing through the gates of her mansion – while the Friends star was home.

The man, believed to be in his 70s, crashed his car into the $21million Bel Air pad shortly after 12pm on Monday, sparking a dramatic confrontation with Aniston’s guards.

According to TMZ, the security team rushed to the vehicle, pulled the driver out, and detained him at gunpoint until LAPD officers arrived on the scene.

Officer Jeff Lee, an LAPD spokesperson, confirmed: “The incident occurred at approximately 12:20PM PT” and officers were responding to a call about a “burglary suspect” who “ran his vehicle through the gate to the residence.”

“The resident was home at the time,” he added.

Aniston, 56, did not come into contact with the suspect and was not harmed, police said.

A public information officer for the LAPD said: “A driver approximately 70 years of age rammed his vehicle through the gate to the residence and gained access to the property.

“There was a security guard on premises who was able to detain that suspect until officers arrived, at which time they took him into custody without incident.”

The LAPD told ABC7 the incident may have been accidental, but insiders reportedly told TMZ that the crash “did not look like an accident.”

The man, who allegedly has a minor criminal history, suffered back injuries in the crash and was taken to hospital, according to CBS News.

An ambulance was seen inspecting the man at the scene after he reportedly complained of pain.

An LAPD investigation is now underway, with the case being handled by the department’s Threat Management Unit, which has previously worked on other cases with the actress.

Sources told ABC News there’s no current indication the suspect was targeting The Morning Show star.

But his background and social media activity are now under review.

He is expected to be booked for felony vandalism, police said.
