Jenelle Evans has found herself in the news a lot in recent weeks, and it hasn’t been for anything positive. The former Teen Mom 2 star made headlines earlier this week when she called 911 on her teenage son, claiming he was destroying her home. A few months back, her ex-boyfriend took to social media to accuse her of drinking, drug use, and neglect. Now, Jenelle Evans has caught social media followers’ attention for a post about family that can only be described as tone-deaf.

Jenelle Evans might not be a reality TV star any longer. Still, she sure knows how to keep people talking about her. After receiving pushback for her handling of her eldest son’s behavioral issues, the mother of three doubled down on he issue. She took to social media to insist she is a dedicated and involved mother.

In a strange Facebook post, Jenelle insisted she puts everything on “pause” for her “babies” despite her busy schedule. Critics didn’t take long to swarm the comments, questioning when the mother of three put her children first. Some commenters questioned exactly what Jenelle is busy doing, as most of her recent social media posts have been about partying.

Followers who watched Evans’ life play out on Teen Mom 2 were shocked she would take to social media to make such a bold claim. After all, nearly a decade of video evidence proves Evans has never put her children first. In fact, she was only peripherally involved in Jace’s life for many years. She has lost custody of the younger two in the past, too.

Jace Evans, now 15, was primarily raised by his maternal grandmother, Barbara Evans. Shortly after Jace’s birth in 2009, Jenelle signed over legal custody to Barbara due to her ongoing legal issues and an overwhelming desire to party. Despite attempts to regain custody, Barbara had full custody of Jace for more than a decade. Jenelle retained visitation rights. She only regained custody of Jace in March 2023 after reaching an agreement with Barbara. Since then, Jace has run away several times and has been in the care of CPS at least once.

Jenelle’s track record with her other two children is only marginally better. She’s maintained custody of both Kaiser Griffith and Ensley Eason, for the most part. Still, both children were removed from Jenelle Evans’ home in 2019 after David Eason shot and killed the family dog while the children were in the house. They later regained custody, but followers have raised concerns about Kaiser and Ensley several times over the years. Kaiser reportedly lived in Tennessee with his paternal grandmother for a few weeks after getting in trouble at school. After the media caught wind of Kaiser’s placement, Jenelle yanked him back to Las Vegas.

Jenelle’s move to Las Vegas, where her children know no one, and her hard-partying ways have caught the ire of social media followers in recent weeks. Still, she is not backing down.
