Jax Jones teams up with Kesha for new collaboration as he reveals he secretly wrote with Ed Sheeran before he was famous

Jax Jones has worked with Jason Derulo and Demi Lovato over the years and now he has another major US collaboration on the way with Kesha.

The Tik Tok singer recently relaunched her fun-loving pop career with the song Joyride and has since been in the studio with British producer and DJ Jax, who let slip about their upcoming tune.

Speaking about collaborating with other artists, he explained: “At the moment I’m loving the new artist space, where you’re meeting people that are hustling because it’s kind of refreshing.

“There’s something about, like when I worked with RAYE on You Don’t Know Me, where they’re fresh. For me I’m working with someone called SadBoi tomorrow.

“But I’ve got a little tune with Kesha that I’m working on, so I kind of like mixing the two.”

But Jax went on to reveal he actually recorded the most high-profile collaboration of his career over a decade ago although it has never come out.

During an appearance on The Therapy Crouch podcast, he said of Ed Sheeran: “I’ve written a song with him before. Like, 13 years ago.

“My last record deal was with Atlantic and we got signed at the same time. We were doing some tracks because he was around on the circuit at the time. Proper cool guy.

“I remember the day he played me his first album. It was amazing.”

Speaking about working on new track, Tonight (D.I.Y.A), with Jason and Joel Corry, Jax said: “This track is all about those electrifying summer nights. We’ve packed it with high energy and good vibes.”

Joel and Jax previously teamed up in 2021 on single Out Out.

Joel added: “I have also been in the studio lots over the years, so I’m buzzing we finally have a release together. ‘Tonight (D.I.Y.A)’ has been a fun record to work on.”
