Jamie Laing completes first leg of 150 mile Comic Relief challenge as he reveals last words his wife said at start line

JAMIE Laing went off like a rocket this morning as he kicked off his Comic Relief ultra-marathon in London.

The Radio 1 DJ started outside the station’s headquarters and ran over 30 miles towards Luton ahead of the next 30 mile stretch tomorrow.

In an exclusive chat from the road, Jamie told me: “I’m feeling pretty nervous but it’ll be fine.

“I did a 12k last week and my legs haven’t been feeling too fresh but I’ve just got to keep moving.”

Jamie was waved on the challenge, which will see him running over 150 miles to Salford, by his wife Sophie Habboo, who was feeling the pressure more than the marathon man himself.

“The last thing she said to me was, ‘I’m feeling pretty nervous so I can’t imagine how you’re feeling,’” Jamie laughed.

“I’m as ready as I can be.

“I’ve got some great tracks on my playlist. I’ve got some Kelly Clarkson, some Ed Sheeran and Notorious B.I.G.

“And Bon Jovi’s Livin’ On A Prayer.”

Jamie is taking on the challenge to help raise money for Comic Relief on Friday and we’re backing him the whole way.

He added: “This run isn’t for me or for anyone else, it’s just to raise a huge amount of money to help so many projects.

“If you read this and you think it’s a good thing, and you have 50p or a pound or whatever it is, that money will just go such a long way.

‘Horny’ Jamie Laing reveals he wants to have sex EVERY day but wife Sophie Habboo is only up for it ‘twice a year’

“So please, please, please donate. It would be incredible if you could do that.”
