The actor revealed he was left unable to walk and fighting for his life.

Foxx has now been filmed in Phoenix sharing the horror ordeal to fans.

He revealed it began with “a bad headache” and he woke up nearly three weeks later with no memory.

The star said: “I was gone for 20 days.”

He also told how his sister and daughter took him to two doctors and the second told him: “[There’s] something going on up there”‘, as he pointed to his head.

But he said he would not reveal any more information on camera.

The actor previously opened up in December 2023 about how he “saw the tunnel but not the light” in his near-death experience.

It came during his first public appearance, at the Critics Choice Association’s event, after being hospitalized.

He bravely revealed more about his health scare in his acceptance speech after receiving the Vanguard Award at the association’s Celebration of Cinema & Television: Honoring Black, Latino and AAPI Achievements.

Foxx said: “You know, it’s crazy, I couldn’t do that six months ago.

“I couldn’t actually walk.

“I want to thank everybody. I’ve been through something, I’ve been through some things.

“I cherish every single minute now, it’s different, I wouldn’t wish what I went through on my worst enemy because it’s tough when it’s almost over, when you see the tunnel.

“I saw the tunnel — I didn’t see the light.

“It was hot in that tunnel too, I don’t know where I was going. ‘S**t, am I going to the right place?’”

He added: “I have a new respect for life. I have a new respect for my art.”

A source previously told USWeekly: “Jamie is doing so much better and he’s starting to feel like himself again.

“He’s not 100 percent and is still taking things easy, but he’s definitely on the road to recovery.

“Foxx is feeling really good and is excited to get back to work once the time is right.”

The actor has resumed work on his upcoming Netflix movie Back in Action, in which he plays the role of Matt.

Cameron Diaz stars alongside him as Emily, after the actress took a pause from retirement to make the film.

They play retired CIA agents who are trying to settle into family life.
