SINGER James Morrison’s partner Gill Catchpole was looking for a house shortly before her death, it emerged today.
Café boss Gill — mum to the Brit winner’s two daughters — asked on a local Facebook group about places to rent.

The 45-year-old posted last Thursday: “Please contact me if anyone knows or hears of anything.”
The same day, James, 39, shared a photograph online of himself playing a guitar at his home studio and captioned it: “New year, new adventure . . .”
Gill was found dead the following day and James, who was working on new music, has since shelved all work commitments.
A pal said he was now focusing on caring for his daughters, aged 15 and five.

Police said officers were called to a house in Whitminster, Gloucs, at 9.10am “following concerns for the welfare of a resident”.
They added: “The body of a woman in her 40s was found.
“The death is being treated as non-suspicious at this time.
“The coroners and woman’s next of kin have been informed.”
In 2022, Gill had a kidney transplant and last November marked the anniversary of the operation by writing on Facebook: “What a difference a year makes.
“After many ups, downs and heartache, I am here owning my own business.
“For anyone out there struggling, I can tell you from experience it does get better.
“Thanks to my amazing family and friends that have been there through it all and picked up the many pieces of me and my life.
“You all know who you are. Today I feel blessed.”
James and Gill met almost two decades ago — before his music success — when she moved into his mum’s house as a lodger.
In 2019 he revealed his album You’re Stronger Than You Know was inspired by Gill after their youngest was born 13 weeks premature.
James said: “The album title is for Gill as she’s been through so much as a woman and a mum, knowing we could lose the baby at any point.”
