Actor, rapper, and nepo baby Jaden Smith represents the next generation of avant-garde fashion, and Louis Vuitton knows it.
Fans know Jaden Smith for his fearless, avant-garde approach to fashion. The son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith has always pushed boundaries with gender-fluid and statement-making outfits. Jaden, an elder voice of Gen Z, represents his generation’s penchant for authenticity, flexibility, and diversity. The most recent example? His gender-fluid outfit choice for the Louis Vuitton show.
Jaden Smith’s boundary-pushing style

Jaden can’t deny his nepo baby roots. But the 26-year-old’s blend of streetwear and high fashion has helped him develop his own identity in Hollywood and beyond. Labels appreciate Jaden’s androgynous aesthetic, gaining him entry into coveted fashion events like Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2025-26 show yesterday. Although the “Summer” rapper isn’t a brand ambassador for the French luxury fashion house, he has a long-standing relationship with Louis Vuitton.

Jaden Smith first collaborated with the brand in 2016. He wore a skirt and biker jacket for a Louis Vuitton campaign in a challenge of traditional gender norms. At the time, he told Nylon Magazine, via Hello Beautiful, “The world is going to keep bashing me for whatever I do, and I’m going to keep not caring … So, you know, in five years when a kid goes to school wearing a skirt, he won’t get beat up and kids won’t get mad at him. It just doesn’t matter. I’m taking the brunt of it so that later on, my kids and the next generations of kids will all think that certain things are normal that weren’t expected before my time.”

Nearly a decade later, Jaden continues his blend of futuristic and experimental outfits, like floral blouses, skirts, and avant-garde footwear. On Monday, he donned a textured tweed top with puffed sleeves and a peplum waistline. He layered several gold necklaces beneath the blouse, wearing faded straight leg jeans and black leather shoes. Jaden carried his Louis Vuitton Petite Malle. The unique handbag is quickly becoming his signature accessory, appearing at several special events lately.

Jaden often wears skirts, dresses, oversized silhouettes, and unconventional layers. Some of his most talked-about looks include his 2017 Met Gala look: a black Louis Vuitton suit with fresh dreadlocks. Fans also know the After Earth star for his many Coachella ‘fits, which often mix bright colors, baggy silhouettes, and skate culture.

Jaden’s starpower and fashion sense also garner him major collaborations. He’s designed Vision Racer sneakers for New Balance and partnered with G-Star RAW for an eco-conscious denim collection. The Karate Kid actor also co-founded a clothing brand called MSFTSrep with his friends. It focuses on gender-fluid designs, vibrant patterns, and a rebellious streetwear vibe.
