The singer, 32, spoke on Louis Theroux’s podcast and revealed all about her relationship with the teenage heartthrob.
She said: “ I think we went on like one date when we were 16 or something and he just got put in the band.
“It was really funny because we kept in touch and then the minute they (One Direction) went on live shows, he didn’t message me back and I thought that’s it now he’s gone, he’s made it.
“Then I made it the next year and then I saw him in the room after and he was like ‘I’m really sorry that I ignored you’.”

Before Jade became a global superstar she auditioned on the ITV talent show three times.

But, it was third time lucky for Jade and she was brought back as part of a group alongside Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson.
The band who established themselves as Little Mix eventually went on to win the whole competition.
Fast forward to 2024 Jade is now happily dating Rizzle kicks frontman Jordan Stephens.
The couple started dating in May 2020 with Jade confirming their relationship in October that same year.
Their first public appearance was at a Trans Black Lives Matter march and the pair have been inseparable ever since, often taking to social media to share snaps of themselves together.
Harry himself has had a rather lengthy dating history, his first Hollywood relationship was with television presenter and actress Caroline Flack.
The pair, who had a 14-year age gap, dated from 2011 to early 2012, according to People.
He didn’t stay single for long, after meeting at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, Styles began briefly dating music megastar Taylor Swift.

Harry then went on to date, Kendall Jenner in 2013 and while they might have never confirmed a relationship, they have been spotted together several times.
Harry also had flings with a string of models including, Gemma Ward, Camila Rowe and Nadine Leopold.
One of Harry’s most high profile relationship was with director Olivia Wilde.
Olivia and Harry began dating in January 2021- just weeks after she announced her split from Jason Sudeikis – while on the set of their film Don’t Worry Darling.
Their relationship was the talk of the town for over a year and caused a lot of drama, but it was then announced in November 2022 that they were “taking a break” – and the pair have since split.
