SIPPING rose wine at Cote restaurant in Highgate Liam Gallagher tells me he wants to hug it out with brother Noel.
The next day, as our interview is published, Noel has given another interview insisting: “Liam needs to see a shrink.”

That was in 2017 and the thought of an Oasis reunion was just a ridiculous are-you-off-your-rocker moment. It was never going to happen.
Fast forward to 2025 and we are now three months away from the once acrimonious brothers’ highly anticipated reformation. Yes, it’s happening.
And – in what would have been another ridiculous are-you-off-your-rocker moment – I can reveal that Liam and Noel are positively Electric about their reunion and talking on the phone “most days”.
The brothers – whose insults for each other include “tofu boy” (said by Liam) and “a fork in a world of soup” (said by Noel) – have been meeting in secret at each other’s London homes after Liam quit his Cotswold mansion and returned to the capital.
Oh what I would give to be a fly on the wall.
The duo will spend the month of June rehearsing at secret locations with the rest of the band who are likely to be Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Bonehead – although this is one of the brother’s highly guarded secrets.
In fact secrecy has been the name of the game since they started talking after Noel separated from his ex wife Sara MacDonald.
With exclusive insight into the reunion, I can also reveal how the duo are preparing for their shows as well as what they are set to be wearing on stage.
The shows kick off on July 4 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium in Wales and end on November 23 at the Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo, Brazil.
A friend of the brothers said: “Liam and Noel are speaking most days on the phone. They actually call each other rather than text, they are old school like that.
“There is a lot to think about and they’ve now got into a routine of speaking through ideas on the phone. Vibes are high and they can’t wait to crack on.”
Liam and fiancee Debbie quit their £19k a month country cottage in the Cotswolds last month where the couple had been living for the past year.
They’re now holed up at their five-bedroomed Tudor style house in Highgate, North London bought back in May 2020.
Noel is also living in the capital – with the brothers having secret meet-ups at each other’s houses.
The source continued: “Now that Liam and Debbie have moved back to London, Liam and Noel are going to each other’s houses to meet up.
‘Top secret’
“They are all very excited to get the kids together and hang out.
“There won’t be pictures of them out and about with each other, they just go to their houses as all their meetings in the lead up to the shows are top secret.”
The gigs mark the first time Oasis will perform together since they split in August 2009 after Liam and Noel’s famous bust-up.
The final straw came after a backstage altercation at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, where Liam allegedly swung Noel’s guitar like an axe. Noel declared he could no longer work with Liam and quit the band.
But after Noel split with ex wife Sara MacDonald in January 2023 the brothers reconciled and began planning their big reunion.
Rehearsals will take place for the full month of June in London and France where Liam has a property.
As the lads prep for their iconic gigs, Liam has stopped drinking and is focused on getting in shape.
He was offered a personal trainer and chef but turned it down.
Like the grounded guy he is, Liam previously told me: “I put out my own rubbish. I do the dishwasher. I do the cleaning when the cleaner hasn’t been.”

And nothing has changed since then. He manages all his own fitness with regular exercises including a 6am run.
Now that Debbie and Liam have got a pool in their back garden he’ll be using that daily.
Another friend said: “Liam wants to be in the best shape of his life, completely 100 percent focused on the gigs. As is Noel.
“Noel hasn’t quit drinking but he’s working out a lot and making sure he’s in good shape.”
Noel is in a relationship with high society events organiser Sally Mash and would regularly frequent celeb hotspot Chiltern Firehouse before it burnt down earlier this year.

One person who might be working harder than the brothers is Liam’s fiancee Debbie Gwyther – who is also his manager.
She’s masterminded the 41 date world tour and is sorting out the logistics which includes travel to 12 countries, sponsorship deals, television appearances, interviews and merchandise.
A documentary about the tour is also in the making headed by Steven Knight, creator of Peaky Blinders.
Another friend said: “Debbie deserves a medal for all she’s done.”
The film is being made via production company Magna Studios, who have produced acclaimed music films such as Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now and the Nick Cave docudrama 20,000 Days on Earth.
Production for the shows are top secret. But I can reveal frontman Liam will be choosing a parka from his own collection – rather than be dressed by a stylist.
“He doesn’t have anyone deciding what he’ll wear,” a source said. “He decides himself.”
For Liam patching up his relationship with his brother is just as big as getting back on that stage together.
Back to our 2017 interview, he told me: “I hope we make up. Not just for Oasis but for brothers. Enough is enough now, I know I wind him up. I have put it out there enough times but I think he doesn’t want to know.
“I reckon we would just have to meet up and hug it out as they say.”
Whenever I’d spoken to Noel at parties, he always ruled out a reunion.
But now – as the world has tilted – I hope they really are hugging it out at their secret meet-ups and making sure they Don’t Look Back In Anger anymore….
