Alan rose to fame on the stand-up circuit, landing gigs on 8 Out Of 10 Cats and The Friday Night Project with Justin Lee Collins.
He grew up in Weymouth, but now divides his time between London and Ken.
Alan, 45, lives in Aldington just outside Folkestone on the Kent coast and has given fans a glimpse inside his gorgeous home on Instagram and during TV appearances.
In on This Morning interview last year Alan appeared on TV to raise money for Neuroblastoma UK and showed off his impressive artwork.
Eagle-eyed viewers were left stunned to see a replica of the Chatty Man host peeping out from behind him as he spoke to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
The pop art print of Alan even featured his signature square specs and covered most of the back wall in his study.
Other snaps on his social media show him posing with fellow celebrities for his podcast Life’s A Beach.
In one he stands with Michael Sheen next to his grey carpeted staircase and teal walls.

He previously told The Sun Adele’s new slimline look inspired him to go on a 1,000 calorie a day diet.
He said: “I have been on a weird diet of a 1,000 calories.
“Adele looks great and she has inspired me. She is looking great. I love Adele.”
Chatty Man star Alan has been in discussions with Britain’s Got Talent producers for weeks, alongside several other candidates.
But he quickly emerged as the runaway favourite among bosses including Simon – and is now being offered a contract to join the ITV juggernaut.
A source told The Sun: “Alan is joining the line-up, it just has to be him – he’s brilliant.
“The deal is being finalised, but it’s details now – and he’s totally up for it too. It’s the perfect hiring all round.
