NOUGHTIES TV star Rachel Bilson shot to fame on The O.C becoming a household name almost overnight.
But years after the show ended, Rachel, 44, found herself facing unexpected backlash and losing work after making racy comments about her sex life.

The actress revealed on Nicole Byer’s Why Won’t You Date Me? podcast last week that she was blindsided by the loss of job opportunities.
She was ditched following a string of raunchy remarks she had made about wanting to be ‘ f****** manhandled’ in the bedroom on a different pod back in 2023.
Speaking about it now, she said: “Did I want to fight it? Absolutely,
“Look, I can see both sides. When you take something out of context and you read something as a standalone comment, it can come off a certain way, sure.”

Speaking about how she lost work because of the comments, Rachel recalled: “I said something like, ‘I like to be manhandled’.
“But because I used that word in whatever context, they just took that out of the conversation. It didn’t sound great.
“But I think it was a very conservative company so they weren’t comfortable talking about sex at all, in general.”
The initial incident occurred on the Women On Top podcast two years prior and on there Rachel detailed which sex positions she liked and whether she likes to give or take control in the bedroom.
At the time she protested: “I haven’t said anything inappropriate.
“Maybe I would say it differently. But I still wouldn’t not say it.”

Rachel has sparked her fair share of romance rumours over the years including Bill Hader with whom she walked the Golden Globes red carpet with in 2020.
But her most notable relationship was her on-and-off, 10-year romance with Hayden Christensen with whom she had a 7-year-old daughter, Briar Rose, with in 2017.
Rachel, played Summer Roberts – one of the main characters in the popular FOX series.
She was only supposed to appear in a few episodes, but became a fan-favorite and wound up becoming a regular for the rest of the series.
Summer is an animal activist and becomes more intelligent than everyone thought when she’s accepted to Brown University.
The O.C. also starred Adam Brody (Seth Cohen), Peter Gallagher (Sandy Cohen), Tate Donovan (Jimmy Cooper), and Chris Carmack (Luke Ward).
The show ran for four seasons, from 2003 to 2007.
