A ’90s movie legend has revealed how he has followed in his mum’s footsteps to become a chef.
Freddie Prinze Jr., who starred in Scooby-Doo and She’s All That, has been keeping himself busy in the kitchen after all but disappearing from the silver screen.

The star revealed in an interview with CBS News that cooking is in his blood.
He said: “My mother worked in restaurants her whole life.
“That’s where she met my father, at a comedy club in Reno, Nevada. She was the chef there.”
In 2016, he released his cookbook, Back to the Kitchen: 75 Delicious, Real Recipes (& True Stories) From a Food-Obsessed Actor, to much praise.

He emphasised the importance of “saving time” in his recipes, which are all composed of nine ingredients or fewer, with two of those being salt and pepper.
Speaking to The Kitchn, he added: “When I graduated high school my mom encouraged (okay, “forced”) me to attend cooking school as a backup plan to my acting ambitions.

“I was all set to go to Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Pasadena when I got my first real acting gig — and the rest is history.
“But I never stopped loving good food or cooking.”
Freddie made major film appearances in the live-action Scooby-Doo series and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but has slowed down his acting since the late-90s.
Away from the camera, he is married to Sarah Michell Gellar, who he met on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer.
In addition to his career as a celebrity chef, he has been a writer for WWE and hosts a podcast called Wrestling With Freddie where he discusses the industry.
Although, wrestling Freddie for real might not be a good idea as he holds a purple belt in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu.
It comes after world champion boxer Oleksandr Usyk confirmed a stunning career change after missing out on a fight with Tyson Fury.
