KATIE Price’s mum Amy has broken her silence on her daughter’s split from Peter Andre 15 years ago in a scathing new memoir.
In her book The Last Word, Amy claims she knew the marriage was doomed months before the former couple had decided to call it quits.

Amy, who is battling a terminal illness, writes: “I first got a sense something was afoot when I went to Kate’s house a couple of months before she was due to record the Katie & Peter: Stateside reality show in America in 2009.”
She goes on to explain Pete had a recording studio in the back garden, and he was in there with his manager and their personal assistant playing songs about a break-up.
Amy remembers: “I suddenly had the feeling something wasn’t right and the music somehow felt as though it was part of a grand plan neither Kate nor I were privy to.”
Six months later — in May 2009 — the marriage was over.

The final trigger for Peter were rumours of an affair between Katie and international dressage rider Andrew Gould. Amy says she was never aware of any affair.
Pete called it a day after seeing a photograph of Kate at the Badminton Horse Trials with her equestrian products manager, book agent and make-up artist.
They were joined by Andrew and his wife Polly. They went on to a club where they were photographed.
Amy writes: “I was never aware of an affair between them.
“Afterwards somehow, Pete remained the handsome prince while she became the evil snow queen.
“Those of us closest to her know this was no accident, because she was part of a publicity machine which had sucked her in and was now viciously spitting her out.”
Amy also reveals how she warned Katie not to get with “manipulative” Peter before they both entered the reality TV show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004.
She writes: “He wanted to be rich and famous, and my daughter unwittingly became part of the plan.
“My daughter is no angel, but she became a sacrificial lamb in a celebrity slaughter the moment she paired up with Peter Andre.

“From the word go, something didn’t feel right about Peter; I had an inkling that he wasn’t who he claimed to be.
“He came across as gushing and gentlemanly, but I sensed a manipulative side to his character; a man who spoke from the mouth rather than the heart.
“His career was in decline and I think he saw an opportunity in my daughter, an opportunity he was quick to seize.
“As the show aired I met Pete’s agent for lunch and she expressed an interest in managing Kate alongside Pete if they ever became an item. I thought it was an unusual thing to say.
“Meanwhile, Pete suggested to Kate in the jungle they play along for the cameras to prevent them from being voted out, and I didn’t feel comfortable seeing her being drawn into that sort of gameplay.”
Katie, who was then known as the glamour model Jordan, fell “hook, line and sinker for Pete”.
Mum Amy, who has the lung condition idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, writes: “The love was genuine on Kate’s part, but it felt more business-like in the Pete camp.”
In an interview with The Sun to mark the release of her bombshell book, Amy blasted Peter, as ‘controlling’.
She also laid into cage fighter Alex Reid, Katie’s third hubby Kieran Hayler and her now-ex fiancé Carl Woods.
Amy told us: “While thinking and writing about them, patterns began to emerge and I realised that so many of Kate’s husbands had similar character traits.
“For example, I think it’s fair to say from my point of view that Dane Bowers and Peter Andre were men who liked to be in control and prioritised furthering their own careers.
“In my view, they used their relations with Kate for their own gains and quit while they were ahead.”
Amy continued: “Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler were complex exhibitionists who came along when Kate was at her lowest ebb and her most recent suitor is of a similar ilk.
“I always remember Alex referring to himself as Mrs Katie Price and that says it all. Kieran and Carl [Woods, ex-fiancé] are also men who crave fame and have used Kate as a springboard for their social media feeds.”
