A LEGENDARY music artist who had a huge noughties hit is now a school teacher – and the students can’t believe he was ever famous.
The singer first rose to fame in the pop rock band Nine Days.

Their song Story Of A Girl become a massive hit in the noughties – even appeared in the Hollywood movie Everything Everywhere All At Once.
In 1994, musicians John Hampson and Brian Desveaux came together in New York to form a band that would go on to make their mark in the music industry.
Over the course of the 90s, they independently released three albums, honing their sound and gaining a dedicated following.

But now John has left behind stardom to become a school teacher.
And his students can’t quite believe he used to be a musical legend once upon a time.
The former Nine Days singer is now teaching at Wantaa College and enjoying a humble solo career.
Although hes chosen a completely different career – his love for music hasn’t gone.
John is currently finishing his third solo album and has released his first single, “My Fat Wallet”, on iTunes.
The singer now looks worlds away from how he used to look in the iconic rock band.
John now has a more toned down look and has gotten rid of his brown coloured medium length locks he rocked in the band.
He now sports a shorter and cleaner haircut with a bit of stubble on his face.
